BBQ Charcoal

The Factory — Temanggung, Central Java

Our factory in Temanggung, near Magelang in Central Java, carbonizes coconut shell on site and grades every batch in an in-house laboratory before sale.

This is a coconut charcoal factory in Indonesia: we carbonize coconut shell and produce finished BBQ briquettes on one site in Temanggung, near Magelang in Central Java, then grade every batch in our own laboratory before it is sold. We are a manufacturer — not a trader and not a warehouse reselling other people’s charcoal. Engineered for BBQ and grilling — not shisha.

Where The Factory Is

The factory sits in Temanggung, a coconut-growing district in Central Java, Indonesia, a short drive from Magelang. Central Java places us close to the coconut-shell feedstock and within reach of the deep-water export ports we ship through — Tanjung Emas (Semarang), Tanjung Perak (Surabaya), and Tanjung Priok (Jakarta). Buyers and their inspection agents are welcome to visit; arrange a date and we will host an audit of the line and the lab.

What We Do On Site — Carbonization Then Grading

Two things happen at this coconut charcoal factory, in order, under one roof:

  1. Carbonization. Coconut shell is carbonized on site into charcoal — we do not buy in finished charcoal to re-bag. The shell-to-briquette process walks the line from raw shell through carbonization, crushing, binding, forming, and drying.
  2. In-house lab grading. Every production batch is tested in our own laboratory and assigned a grade before it can be sold — this is what makes us make-to-stock rather than make-to-order. How that grading is run, and the batch-to-batch consistency it protects, is covered in quality and consistency.

The binder used in forming is a natural, additive-free, food-grade tapioca (cassava) starch, low sulfur — no chemical accelerants. The output is the single A/B/C ladder you can browse on our coconut charcoal grades: Grade A is 100% coconut shell (the white-silver-ash premium that Japanese and Korean buyers specify), while Grades B and C are disclosed coconut + hardwood blends.

Why Buy Direct From The Coconut Charcoal Factory

Buying from the factory that carbonizes and grades the charcoal removes a layer of cost and a layer of uncertainty:

  • No trader markup. You deal with the manufacturer, not a middleman re-selling a container they never made.
  • Traceability to the batch. Because we carbonize and lab-grade in-house, each shipment ties back to a tested production batch and its grading record — not a blended lot of unknown origin.
  • One accountable entity. Specification, OEM print, certification, and the loaded container all sit with the same factory, so there is one party answerable for what is in the box.

The compliance documents that back a shipment — and the sourcing transparency behind the blended grades — are detailed across the import and de-risking cocoon.
